Mode5 Service Coordinator, Tiana, discovered another project for our Team's volunteer initiative. St. Columba Ecumenical Ministries, Inc. in Norfolk is dedicated to helping those who are homeless and low-income. Their Homeless Program was running low on “care kits” for distribution. The care kits include basic personal hygiene products such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, razors, and soap. Tiana ordered the bags and the contents, recruited Mode5 Team volunteers to assemble the kits, and set up the table to assure a smooth process. Tiana, Luke, Matt, Mike G., Charina, Chase, and Charlee, then got to work putting together and boxing the kits for delivery. We were able to have 102 kits ready for delivery to St. Columba in fairly short order. Support Technician, Alan, took time from his busy schedule to deliver the kits the program headquarters.
